Do you want to prepare for the CAP AEPE (Early Childhood Education) by apprenticeship ?

Our training is aimed at anyone who is interested in Early Childhood Education. Whether you are a secondary school student, a postgraduate student, an unemployed person or a person who has changed profession, this course is for you.

Our students have priority to obtain a job and become apprentices at Glotte Home, a childcare agency operating in Bordeaux, Mérignac and the whole CUB region (Bordeaux Metropolitan).

Thanks to its partners in France and abroad, our training centre can offer you a work/study training program which will provide you with the necessary guidance to find a job.

A nationally recognised qualification with tailored learning paths

Our training programme is both comprehensive and adaptable, combining vocational training with general education, in line with the official reference framework of the French Ministry of National Education and Youth.

The CAP AEPE (Certificate of Professional Aptitude in Early Childhood Education) is the first recognised qualification level in the early childhood sector. It corresponds to a Level 3 diploma and opens the door to various professional roles in pre-school education and childcare.

We offer a flexible approach based on:

  • 🧑‍🎓 Your background – depending on your prior education, training, or work experience, you may be exempt from some modules.

  • 🏠 Your work-study setup – most of our learners are enrolled as apprentices with our “Glotte Home” division, a certified provider of in-home childcare services.

Whether you’re just starting out or already have some experience, we adapt your training to best suit your goals and help you build a strong foundation in early childhood education.

A multilingual and international CAP AEPE experience

We offer you the possibility of obtaining a CAP AEPE with a European vocation. In addition to the « classic » theoretical and practical courses for the CAP « Accompagnant Éducatif Petite Enfance », we offer you a specialisation in English or Spanish —according to your preference. Our role is to help you—with a specific module—to master the basics of the language of your choice sufficiently to be able to get by with an English or Spanish speaker.

Our trainers are multilingual—but don’t worry, they also speak French—and our course material is also multilingual. Therefore, you can follow the training entirely or partially in the language of your choice. Moreover, you can decide to follow the modules only in French, or to vary the amount of English or Spanish according to your initial level and your interest in the language. Similarly, it is always possible to return to the modules 100% in French if you do not feel sufficiently comfortable with the previous modality.

However, the final exam that will give you access to the CAP AEPE will be entirely in French. But don’t panic, we will do our best to ensure that your level of English is as high as possible. If you wish, you will be offered additional tests in English or Spanish to show your specific training to future European employers.

In fact, the pre-school sector is an area where some of our European neighbours are recruiting massively, as the needs are increasing. Many nurseries, public schools and childcare agencies are looking for French professionals specialised in pre-school education. The CAP AEPE training course at CFA Glotte-Trotters will serve you as a springboard to such positions if the adventure of living and working abroad tempts you.

In our CFA, language courses will be offered in addition to the classic CAP AEPE training course, all at no additional cost thanks to our accredited Erasmus+ project. Thus, you will have the opportunity to spend at least 7 weeks in one of our partner nurseries in Spain or Ireland. The employability and professional integration of our students are among our main priorities. Thus, thanks to the various professional experiences acquired during your apprenticeship or traineeship abroad, you will have the necessary basis to get your first job in Early Childhood Education—whether here or elsewhere.

In fact, even in France, nursery schools (Montessori, alternative pedagogical schools or state schools) are increasingly offering foreign language workshops for young children. Moreover, the knowledge of foreign languages is part of the National Education curriculum from nursery school onwards. It is therefore possible to maximise your chances of being recruited as an ATSEM (« Agent Territorial Spécialisé des Écoles Maternelles ») in municipalities or public schools by participating in this unique training course in France.

You can also broaden your job prospects on a European or even international scale and develop your knowledge of the organisation of the pre-school sector. All of this can be achieved by expanding your professional and linguistic skills during your immersion.

Your technical and linguistic knowledge developed during your immersion will be formalised in the Europass Mobility. In addition, Glotte Trotters adapts the training and certification frameworks for better readability and recognition of the competences acquired throughout Europe. What else could you ask for?

Would you like a warm welcome with a cup of coffee to tell you more? (Or maybe a nice cup of tea?) If that is the case… Please contact us! Registration is now open!
